The nonprofit Richmond Forum announced its lineup of speakers for the 2023-2024 season at the conclusion of its program on Saturday night, April 29, which featured Dr. Cornel West and Thomas Chatterton Williams.
Among the big names coming next year: Dr. Anthony Fauci on March 16, 2024 and Liz Cheney on Feb. 17, 2024.
The Forum, which has brought hundreds of world-class speakers to Richmond over the past 37 years, has seen its audience grow to more than 4,500 subscribers at both its venue of Altria Theater and online, according to an email from organizers.

Nov. 18, 2023: Isabel Wilkerson, The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration
Jan. 13, 2024: Joel Sartore, Boarding the Photo Ark
Feb. 17, 2024: Liz Cheney, Principles Over Politics
March 16, 2024: Dr. Anthony Fauci, For the Greater Good
April 20, 2024: Nina Totenberg & Kimberley Strassel, On the Docket
Past speakers have included: Steven Spielberg, Carl Sagan, Oprah Winfrey, Ken Burns, Desmond Tutu, Tina Fey, Hal Holbrook, Anderson Cooper, Mary Tyler Moore, Michael Douglas, Walter Cronkite, Michael Pollan, and U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
Current subscribers have until May 28 to renew their subscriptions for next season, according to a press release.
“If you are not a 2022-2023 subscriber, an online subscription will be your ticket into the theater for this truly impressive season,” said Heather Crislip, executive director of The Richmond Forum, in the release. “Seats in the Altria Theater are likely to sell out to current theater and online subscribers, but new online subscribers will have the exclusive ability to upgrade to theater tickets on a program-by-program basis. We no longer have a lottery or wait list.”
