RVA Winter Puppetfest

Bring out the family for the 8th annual RVA Winter Puppetfest! The festival is presented by Puppets Off Broad Street and features live family-friendly performances and an exhibit of puppets designed and built by nationally known puppeteers based right here in Central Virginia. Saturday December 27th: HARLEQUIN & THE GIFT OF MANY COLORS: A story about friendship that introduces children to the Commedia Del Arte’ character “Harlequin”, who is the father of all clowns. His multi-colored costume is a classic design that has been copied over and over for generations. This tale explains how Harlequin came by his unique suit! This 45-minute show is performed by hand puppets and entertaining for ages 3-93!
