Double Drama

Ever have someone tell you that they saw a person who looks just like you? Ever imagine you would assume that person’s life to appease a dying member of their family? Haven’t we all, like Ira Levin (author of “Rosemary’s Baby”), considered this possibility? The Chamberlayne Actors Theatre production of Levin’s “Veronica’s Room” does too, a thriller about an elderly couple who persuades a young woman to pretend to be the dead sister of their employer. The young lady agrees to the strange request and things become … complicated. The show opens Wednesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. Through June 14. 319 N. Wilkinson Road. Tickets are $15-$20. Reservations required. 262-9760. — C.B.
